This annual award recognizes excellence in projects that focus on Youth Development model.

The EXCELLENCE IN YOUTH DEVELOPMENT was implemented as a result of the successful National Youth Development through the National Youth Forum held in Lagos by the Youth Network Center Nigeria with the support of Youth Non-Governmental Organizations and facilitated by the Youth Network Centre Nigeria team.

PURPOSE

The EXCELLENCE IN YOUTH DEVELOPMENT AWARD is coin out to appreciate and to recognize the effort of Government stakeholders and Personnels/Individuals working in the area of Youth Development in Nigeria and the world at large.

EXCELLENCE IN YOUTH DEVELOPMENT AWARD CRITERIA

The criteria include the following;

The nominated initiative would be reflective of the principles of Youth Development (in-school youth and out of school youth) and forum; all the nominated participant must meet the following requirement for the EXCELLENCE IN YOUTH DEVELOPMENT AWARD.

Ø  Nominated personnel must be involved in Youth Achievement Project.

Ø  The project’s focus must be youth recreation.

Ø  The project must be a partnership or involve a collaboration of organizations/ government personnel and agencies involved in Youth Development.

Ø  Nominated personnel must be involved in Youth Community Services

Ø  Nominated personnel should present a documentation(s) of project in Youth Development.

NOTE:-DETAILS FOR THE AWARD PRESENTATION:

THE EXCELLENCE IN YOUTH DEVELOPMENT AWARD 2013 will be held for 2 days.

Day 1:- Seminar on Youth Development.

Day 2:- Presentation of Awards to the Nominated Personnel.

Date:- Thursday 12th September – Friday 13th September, 2013.

Venue:- YFS Building, Igando-Ikotun L.C.D.A Secretariat, Alimosho L.G.A, Ikotun Lagos.
