YOUTH NETWORK CENTRE is a non-for-profit, non-government organization founded in 2006. The organization is governed by a Board of Trustees, an Executive Committee and several professionals who manage the day-to-day activities of the organization. Having realized the linkage between economic empowerment and good health, Youth Network Centre operates an integrated programme which combines health information and education with livelihood skills acquisition programs.  

Youth Network Centre has established Youth Activity Centre with facilities for vocational skills in ICT (Information Communication Technology), Tailoring, Confectionary, Event Planning and Management. We conduct activities to increase information about HIV/AIDS control and prevention, STIs Awareness and enlightenment programmes about social vices/menace (things affecting in-school and out of school youth).

TARGET

The Youth (i.e.in-school and out of school youth).

OBJECTIVE

•        To promote high standard education and sexual reproductive health among the vulnerable groups especially the in-school and out of school youth.

•        To reach poor communities through dissemination of information, education and economic empowerment using well trained personnel.

•        Our efforts will bring about an improvement in the wellbeing of the people we serve.

VISION

•        An improved education, health, poverty and disease free Nigeria Youth.

•        To equip and empower the youth with useful information that will change their life for good.

MISSION

•        To organize talk shows, seminars, training and workshops, as well as to promote Youth access to quality Health and Education.

•        To build a base where in-school and out of school youths can be informed, educated, communicated and counseled on health issues, life skills and career etc.

•        To promote responsible social health behavior and campaign against social menace/vices among in-school and out of school youth and help them develop their talents and vision (empowerment).

In YOUTH NETWORK CENTRE NIGERIA, we carry out other activities like:

•        Volunteer/ internship placement both locally and international.

•        Mentorship sessions that create avenue for in-school and out of school youth to meet and interact directly with seasoned and not-able personalities drawn from different field/professions.

•        Establish YNC clubs in school/institutions and community for grass-root participation.

•        Consult and partner with other organizations for programmes implementations.

FUNDING

YOUTH NETWORK CENTRE, been a not-for-profit initiative, its funding solely depends on charitable contributions/donations from individuals, organizations and corporate organization with Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) for programmes implementation.
